Professional informations

Ms. Paquin joined the firm in the winter of 2021 for her Bar School articling period and has been practicing municipal law since September 2021.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal (LL.B.) and a master’s degree in business law (LL.M.), with a focus on contractual practices from a transactional perspective. As part of the latter, Ms. Paquin wrote a directed essay on the subject of alternative dispute resolution.

During her studies, Ms. Paquin worked as an intern at the Université de Montréal Legal Clinic, where she developed the skills necessary to draft legal opinions tailored to the needs of the clinic’s clients. Since then, she has served as the director of a non-profit organization fighting against school dropouts.

Marie-Michèle Paquin works with the municipal law team. She has pleaded before various courts and acted as prosecutor at the Sainte-Adèle Municipal Court, representing the firm’s clients in their urban planning cases. She particularly enjoys researching and writing, which often leads her to write articles for publications aimed at municipal stakeholders.
