Jean-Philippe Desabrais graduated from HEC Montréal in 2007 and from Université de Montréal in 2010, when he joined Prévost Fortin D'Aoust as a law student. He articled at the firm and began his practice in 2011, when he was called to the Québec Bar.
Within PFD Real Estate, he focused his career on construction law and commercial litigation. He advises general and trade contractors, subcontractors and materials suppliers and represents them before all courts of law, specifically in matters related to construction defects, the rules of the Bureau des soumissions déposées du Québec (BSDQ) and Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) violations.
An active member of the community, Jean-Philippe serves on the board of directors of the youth wing of the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Thérèse-de Blainville, chairs the Les Bâtisseurs (MaTV television show) committee and sits on the board of directors of the Association des Jeunes Barreaux de région and the Association du Jeune Barreau Laurentides-Lanaudière, which he also represents on the Québec Court liaison committee at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse. He is a member of the Table de concertation en matière de petites créances and of the board of directors of RestoPop Thérèse de Blainville.
Jean-Philippe is also a member of the board of directors of the Grands Frères et Grandes Soeurs de la Porte du Nord.
