Samuel Bergeron is a litigator who specializes in civil and commercial litigation. He possesses extensive experience in construction law and counsels contractors, clients and co-ownership syndicates on all aspects of construction projects, including tenders, contract drafting, cases relating to the Bureau des soumissions déposées du Québec (BSDQ), construction industry regulations (CCQ, CSST, Régie du bâtiment, etc.) and surety, insurance and construction hypothec contracts, as well as on the analysis and interpretation of additional cost claims.
In addition, Samuel is regularly asked to speak at conferences and contribute to panels as a construction law expert.
As a litigator at a major law firm in Montréal from 2002 to 2017, he was often called upon to join strategic teams assembled for complex cases and extraordinary remedies such as injunctions.
In addition to his clients in the construction industry, he also represents insurance companies and defends their insured in defence and subrogatory proceedings in civil, commercial and professional liability claims and in construction insurance matters.
Samuel holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Sherbrooke and a Bachelor of Common Law from Queen's University, Ontario.
Wholly committed to his community for several years, Samuel has established a network in Montréal and across Québec. From 2013 to 2015, he served as the chairman of the board of directors of the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Thérèse-de-Blainville, which he joined in 2009. He is an ambassador of the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand junior hockey team and the chairman of the board of directors of Collège Lionel-Groulx.
