Mtre. Stéphane Jetté received a bachelor of Honours in Psychology in 2011 from Concordia University, which he subsquently followed up with two law degrees from McGill University in 2014 : a Bachelor of Common Law (LLB, equivalent to a JD) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL). While a law student at McGill, he was notably awarded the Caron Memorial Trophy Cup (relating the law of security) and the Yoine Goldstein Book Prize in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2015.
As for his areas of practice, Stéphane focuses on business law and has a solid background in both corporate and commercial law. In addition, he also acts in commercial litigation files. This combination allows him to stay at the forefront of what are the most likely issues a given client may face in commercial situations.
Stéphane joined the PFD team in 2019. Prior to this, he did his articling and practised as an attorney at a reputable firm in Montreal where he began principally as a litigation attorney, but branched further and further into commercial and corporate law over time.
Among his social endeavors, Stéphane was most notably Vice-Président of the McGill Entertainement & Sports Law Association. He was also a volunteer case-worker at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill.
In addition, Stéphane is someone who values the importance of research and the thirst for knowledge, which is reflected by his numerous experiences as a volontary research assistant in the field of psychology.
